From Thursday, 16 July, mandatory liquor licence conditions will be enforced at the Wurrumiyanga Freight Shed to ensure compliance with Northern Territory liquor licensing requirements.
Please note the following:
✅ Only the person who placed the alcohol order can collect it.
✅ Photo ID is required when collecting your order.
✅ Alcohol cannot be collected on behalf of another person.
✅ The person collecting the order must be present on the island and attend the Freight Shed in person.
✅ Alcohol collection will continue to commence from 3:00pm, unless otherwise advised.
✅ Alcohol will not be held at the Freight Shed. If it is not collected by the person who placed the order during the collection period, it will be returned to Darwin and can be collected with the following week's delivery.
These are not new rules. They are existing requirements under the Northern Territory Liquor Act and apply across the Northern Territory.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to ensure the alcohol collection process complies with the relevant legislation.
