About Us
Tiwi Islands Regional Council is the heart of community support and infrastructure on Bathurst and Melville Islands. As a lead organisation in maintaining essential community services, we are dedicated to ensuring the smooth operation of our island's infrastructure to serve our vibrant community.
The islands are home to the Tiwi people, who have a strong affiliation with their land and waterways, along with distinctive culture and language. There are school and medical facilities on the islands, with regular plane, passenger ferry, and barge services operating to Darwin.
Role
Your work base will be at one of our communities on either Bathurst or Melville Islands
You will be part of a team involved with developing and implementing preventative maintenance and servicing programs, along with conducting repairs on a wide range of heavy equipment and/or vehicles.
You
You must be a qualified Diesel Mechanic with broad maintenance experience covering earthmoving equipment to off-road vehicles.
A current driver’s licence is essential.
